1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift resource pool position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and SC or compact RN licensure. Details MS/Tele unit within a resource float pool covering multiple campuses Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:00) Weekend shifts required as needed Floating required to other units and campuses within scope as needed On-call required, with either 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks Epic charting experience preferred but not required Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be obtained before start) Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience preferred; 1 year considered on a case-by-case basis Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required Community hospital experience preferred Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day of orientation Additional Information Resource pool RN assigned primarily to one campus with potential to float to another campus as needed Schedule assignments communicated in advance Must be able to pass a fit test, which may require shaving facial hair Attendance policy in place; missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation All requested time off must be submitted at time of initial consideration; requests made afterward will not be accommodated Previous permanent staff at this health system are not eligible to return as travelers First-time travelers accepted Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
