- Endoscopy (LMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-27 Scheduled Weekly Hours 36 Work Shift Job Description Why You'll Love Endoscopy Variety in your day — care for patients across pre-procedure, procedure, and recovery Work closely with a highly collaborative procedural and anesthesia team Build specialized skills in endoscopy, sedation, recovery, and procedural nursing Use your assessment and critical-thinking skills to make an immediate impact on patient safety Be part of a team focused on quality care and an exceptional patient experience What You'll Do As an Endoscopy RN, you'll provide nursing care throughout the patient's entire procedural experience, including: Completing pre-procedure assessments and preparing patients for procedures Establishing IV access and administering medications as ordered Providing patient and family education Supporting physicians and the procedural team during endoscopic procedures Monitoring patients receiving sedation and/or anesthesia Recognizing and responding quickly to changes in patient condition Providing post-procedure recovery care and determining readiness for discharge Educating patients and caregivers on discharge and follow-up instructions Flexing between pre-op, procedure, and recovery based on patient and department needs Procedures May Include EGD

Additional Job Description Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current South Carolina or Compact State RN license Current BLS Current ACLS Previous Endoscopy or acute-care nursing experience preferred Call Requirements This position participates in the Endoscopy Department's call rotation , including after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as assigned.
