1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring LTC experience and comfort with high patient ratios. Details Skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care setting Weekend day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Weekend work required Patient ratios of 1:22-44 Block scheduling not accommodated Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required; pending license accepted if obtained before start BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred LTC experience required Comfort with high patient ratios (1:22-44) required Experience with electronic charting systems required; recent Epic experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care to long-term care and skilled nursing patients, including neurological, cardiac, respiratory, GI, GU, and wound care needs Responsibilities include admissions, discharges, care planning, medication administration, and end-of-life/palliative care Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel position All RTO must be submitted with the initial application; requests made afterward will not be considered Cardiac Dysrhythmia pass/fail test administered on the first day of orientation with one attempt allowed Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation Previous permanent staff at this health system are not eligible to return as travelers First-time travelers are welcome to applyCareer Insights for Medical Surgery Registered Nurse
