Job Description

Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital in Knoxville, TN seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered inpatient rehabilitation care. You'll assess patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic and neurological conditions; develop and implement care plans; administer medications; monitor complex clinical status; and educate patients and families. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and case managers in an interdisciplinary team, ensuring safety, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance while supporting patients in restoring function and independence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring for rehab patients. Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers in an interdisciplinary team. Educate patients and families on recovery, safety, and self-care at home. Document care, assessments, and outcomes accurately in the EHR. Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies. Support patients in mobility, ADLs, and functional rehabilitation goals.
