Responsibilities Provide safe post-anesthesia care and continuous monitoring in the PACUAssess, stabilize, and manage pain and nausea in post-operative patients Administer IV medications and follow anesthesia and surgeon orders Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team Educate patients and families on post-op care and discharge instructions Maintain accurate PACU documentation and follow infection control standards Required Skills Post-anesthesia patient assessment Cardiac and respiratory monitoring Airway management IV therapy and medication administration Pain management protocols Hemodynamic monitoring PACU documentation and charting Use of PACU monitoring equipment Emergency response (codes, rapid response) Infection control and patient safety
