In this role, you will assess and monitor infants, administer medications and treatments, support complex respiratory and nutritional needs, and respond to neonatal emergencies. Responsibilities Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICUContinuously assess, monitor, and document neonatal vital signs and clinical status Administer medications, treatments, and feedings per provider orders and NICU protocols Respond to neonatal emergencies and participate in resuscitation and stabilization Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members Educate and support families on infant condition, care plans, and discharge needs Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation and follow safety and infection control standards Participate in unit-based quality improvement, training, and professional development activities Required Skills Neonatal assessment Ventilator management IV medication administration NICU monitoring equipment use Neonatal resuscitation Family education and support Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Infection prevention and control Enteral and parenteral feeding management Care coordination with interdisciplinary team
