TriStar Health seeks a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across its Nashville-area facilities. In this patient-first, safety-focused environment, you will perform a variety of ultrasound exams, position and prepare patients, and collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. You will work with advanced imaging technology, follow evidence-based protocols, and maintain detailed documentation while upholding infection control and regulatory standards, with flexible PRN shifts supporting regional patient needs. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following physician orders and established protocols Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring image quality and patient safety Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and obtaining relevant clinical history Accurately document and label images, maintaining complete and timely records in the EMRCollaborate with radiologists, nurses, and physicians to support accurate diagnosis and care plans Recognize and promptly report urgent or unexpected findings to appropriate clinicians Adhere to infection prevention, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards at all times Support call, weekend, or PRN coverage as needed to meet patient care demands Required Skills Diagnostic medical sonography Abdominal ultrasound OB/GYN ultrasound Vascular ultrasound basics Ultrasound equipment operation PACS and EMR documentation Patient positioning and body mechanics Infection control and safety protocols Anatomy and pathology recognition on ultrasound Communication with multidisciplinary teams
