PRN NICU RN
to deliver specialized, family-centered care to high-risk and critically ill newborns. Responsibilities Provide evidence-based nursing care to high-risk and critically ill newborns in a Level
III/IV NICU.
Continuously monitor and interpret vital signs, ventilator settings, and neonatal assessment findings. Administer medications, fluids, and blood products safely following NICU protocols. Assist with and recover infants from advanced procedures, including intubation and central line placement. Educate and support families on infant condition, treatment plans, and discharge preparation. Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team. Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record. Participate in emergency response situations, including neonatal codes and rapid interventions. Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. Engage in ongoing education, skills competencies, and quality improvement initiatives. Required Skills Neonatal intensive care nursing Newborn assessment and stabilization Ventilator and respiratory support management Intravenous and central line management Medication administration in neonates Interpretation of neonatal monitors and labs Family education and crisis communication Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Infection prevention and patient safety Neonatal resuscitation and emergency response
