This position is ideal for an experienced perioperative RN who is comfortable working in an ambulatory surgical environment and can function across both the OR Circulator and PACU/recovery roles. The current surgical schedule is primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays. The schedule may transition toward Monday/Wednesday later in the year, and there is potential for the position to develop into a full-time role. Responsibilities Serve as the RN Circulator during cosmetic plastic surgery procedures Prepare the operating room and verify required equipment and supplies Complete appropriate pre-operative assessments and documentation Maintain patient safety and appropriate sterile practices throughout procedures Coordinate with the surgeon, anesthesia provider, and surgical team Complete intraoperative nursing documentation Monitor and advocate for the patient throughout the surgical procedure Safely transition patients from the OR to recovery Provide PACU/post-anesthesia nursing care Monitor airway, vital signs, pain, nausea, and overall post-operative status Provide discharge education and post-operative instructions Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Maintain accurate clinical documentation Follow infection-control standards, facility policies, and perioperative safety procedures Qualifications Required Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Previous Operating Room circulating experience Previous PACU/post-anesthesia recovery experience Experience working in an ambulatory surgery or outpatient surgical setting Current BLS certification Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently in a small surgical-team environment Availability for scheduled surgery days, currently primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays Highly Preferred Plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery experience Experience circulating procedures such as breast surgery, abdominoplasty, liposuction, facial procedures, or other cosmetic surgeries Pre-Op experience ACLS and/or PALS certification Previous ASC experience The ideal candidate will have strong ambulatory surgical experience with the ability to function in both OR Circulator and PACU roles. Cosmetic or plastic surgery experience is highly desirable but is not required.
