A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Registered Nurse (RN) - Recovery and Wellness

Work location: Addiction Recovery Center, 240 North Miller Road Mansfield, TX 76063

Work hours:
PRN:

Rotating shift and days. There are requirements for weekends and holidays. Six shifts are required in a six-week schedule period. Two of those shifts must be weekend shifts. Additionally, one major holiday and two minor holidays are required. Both days and nights and weekends required. Shift hours are 6:45-7:15

    Here's What You Need
  • Nursing Diploma required OR
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
  • BSN preferred
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or nursing diploma required
  • BCLS prior to hire
  • BCPMHN upon hire required
  • ACPI (30 days within hire)
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
  • One year of Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred
  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care

    What You Will Do
    Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans for the care of the patient
  • Interventions as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
