Responsibilities Provide direct medical/surgical nursing care to adult inpatients Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely Develop and implement individualized care plans Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHREducate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans Support quality, safety, and infection-prevention initiatives Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately Precept and support new staff as needed Required Skills Medical/surgical nursing care Patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Wound care management Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Care planning and coordination Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Patient and family education Discharge planning Infection prevention and control
