Job Description

Methodist Health System seeks a PRN clinician to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care within our faith-based, mission-driven network in North Texas. In this flexible role, you will perform assessments, administer treatments, and document care accurately while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You will educate patients and families, support quality and safety initiatives, and respond to changing patient needs. Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with Methodist Health System protocols and faith-based values Perform assessments, deliver treatments, and document care accurately in the electronic health record Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care Maintain compliance with safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards Respond promptly to changes in patient status and participate in rapid response or emergency interventions Support unit workflow by flexibly covering shifts and patient assignments based on PRN needs Participate in ongoing training, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues Uphold organizational mission, diversity, and integrity in daily practice Required Skills Patient assessment and clinical decision-making Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Medication administration and safety Care planning and care coordination Infection prevention and control practices Vital signs and monitoring equipment use Emergency response and basic life support Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team communication Regulatory and compliance documentation
