An on-site opportunity is available for a dedicated, compassionate school nurse to support high school students during the academic year. This full-time contract position requires a professional who thrives in a collaborative school environment and is committed to the well-being of students with medical needs. Youll be assigned to a high school, working closely with three students requiring specialized care. Your expertise as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will help facilitate daily activities such as feeding, toileting, and assisting with transfer positions. The assignment is set to start as soon as credentialing is complete and will continue through late May 2027.

Qualifications & Experience:

Active and unrestricted TX RN or LVN license is required Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred Must be able to pass state fingerprinting and background checks Candidates who have previously worked for this specific district or have been terminated from any school district cannot be considered Completion of relevant affidavits regarding prior school district employment and terminations Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to three high school students in a classroom setting Support students with feeding, toileting, and positioning throughout the school day Collaborate effectively with educational teams to coordinate care plans Maintain clear and accurate health records according to district requirements Uphold standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times This is a Monday through Friday position, 8AM to 4PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
