Travel psychiatric nurse needed for a 26-week inpatient assignment in Texas City, Texas. Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and supervise direct reports while ensuring patient safety and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting, ensuring safety and stability Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Monitor patient progress and document observations accurately in the EMR system Assist in managing behavioral health interventions and crisis situations effectively Supervise and support direct reports, facilitating a cohesive and efficient team environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Texas RN license Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification At least 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric RN Minimum 1-year experience in behavioral health/IDD/dual diagnosis Minimum 1-year experience with direct reports Ability to travel up to Brazoria and Galveston Counties Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently Strong organizational skills
