Job Description

Join HCA Healthcare as a Registered Nurse in our Rehab unit on a PRN basis, providing high quality, patient centered care to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized rehab nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize functional recovery and safe discharge. Responsibilities Provide direct rehab nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and facility policies Monitor patient progress, document clinical findings, and update care plans Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on rehab goals, safety, and discharge plans Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards Operate and monitor rehab-related equipment and assistive devices Participate in care conferences and communicate changes in patient status Support unit workflows, including admissions, transfers, and discharges Required Skills Rehabilitation nursing Patient assessment Care planning and coordination IV therapy and medication administration Wound care and skin integrity management Vital signs and patient monitoring Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Patient and family education Infection prevention and safety protocols
