Qualifications BLS Certification Full Job Description Role Overview:
The registered nurse independently provides routine and complex patient care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of various aspects of each situation. They develop long-term care plans, manage contingencies, and delegate tasks to care team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with their level of practice. Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty; new graduates considered. Current RN license in the state or a compact license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification required within specified timeframes. Completion of organizational onboarding and annual competency validations.
Additional Requirements:
Experience in critical care or similar settings is preferred. Must attend orientation within 30 days of hire and complete department-specific competencies. Certifications such as PALS, TNCC, NRP, and others within designated grace periods.
Work Details:
The position is full-time, with shifts from 7AM to 7PM.
