Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough physical assessments during each visit. Assist patients with breathing exercises and techniques. Provide patient education and support to promote optimal health outcomes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination. Document patient progress and update care plans as needed.Qualifications & Requirements:
Active RN license. Experience in home health or community-based nursing preferred but not required. Compassion and treatment of the whole person, not just a 'job'. Patients are cared for long term over many months/years. Not traditional 30-60-90 home care. Personal relationships of trust are formed and nurtured between nurses and patients. Punctuality is a requirement and expected at all times. Ability to work independently and manage flexible scheduling.
