Job Description

Carlisle School is seeking an experienced school nurse to join our institution. Your primary responsibility will be to provide health services to students when they are at school. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with children, their parents or guardians, and teachers.
Responsibilities:
Provide basic healthcare to students and staff in case of injury or acute illness Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities Consult with teachers, school administrators, and other school staff regarding student care Administer medication Monitor students' immunization records Update students' medical history Ensure school environment is safe for children and staff Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred Knowledge of many areas of health including mental health Knowledge of school laws and policies Ability to work independently or with others Ability to communicate well with others Ability to assess situations and act quickly BLS/CPR certification Knowledge of state health regulations Ability to multitask
