Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Private Duty Nurse RN to provide skilled in-home nursing care to pediatric and adult patients. In this role, you will deliver patient-first, clinically focused care, including assessments, medication administration, and management of complex conditions and equipment in the home setting. You'll collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams, educate caregivers, and ensure accurate documentation and safety. Responsibilities Provide skilled private duty nursing care to pediatric and/or adult patients in their homes Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed Monitor, assess, and document patient condition and vital signs Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care team to update care plans Educate patients and families on disease management and home care Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per policy and regulations Ensure infection control, safety, and compliance with clinical standards Communicate changes in patient status promptly to supervisors and providers Support a compassionate, patient-first care environment aligned with Aveanna values Required Skills Skilled nursing assessment and clinical judgment IV therapy and medication administration Ventilator and tracheostomy management Enteral feeding and G-tube care Wound care and infection control Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Care planning and care coordination Patient and family education Emergency response and escalation Time management and independent work in home settings
