Williamsburg Landing, a premier not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in Virginia, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. You'll provide high-quality clinical care across a continuum from independent living to skilled nursing, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support resident wellbeing. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents across levels of care, including assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluations. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Monitor and document resident conditions, promptly recognizing and reporting changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic health records and required regulatory documentation. Lead and support CNAs and other care staff, promoting teamwork and adherence to care standards and infection-control protocols. Participate in care conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and performance improvement activities. Educate residents and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge plans, and health management strategies. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations, including safety and infection-prevention guidelines. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate holistic, person-centered care. Required Skills Clinical assessment and critical thinking in geriatric and adult medical-surgical care Medication administration and IV therapy skills Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation and informatics competency Care planning and coordination in long-term care or skilled nursing Knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care and CCRCs Infection prevention and control practices Wound care and pressure injury prevention Fall prevention and risk management Patient and family education techniques Leadership and delegation to CNAs and support staff Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork Basic life support and emergency response skills
