Registered Nurse - Acute Cardiac / IMCU Stepdown Acute Cardiac Stepdown Unit delivers comprehensive care to patients with a variety of complex cardiac conditions. This includes individuals with heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as those recovering from coronary interventions, ablation procedures, and myocardial infarction. The Acute Cardiac Stepdown team also expertly manages patients both before and after cardiac catheterization, and provides acute care for stroke patients. Job Summary Provides safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process. Applies professional standards in ethics, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice. Uses clinical knowledge and skills to meet the needs of their specific unit. Education Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program BSN or MSN preferred Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing BLS within 90 days of hire Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire NIH within 1 year of hire Experience None required Acute care nursing experience preferred Background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred New Grads Welcome! Registered Nurse 6-month Transition to Practice Programs at
