Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Our 16-bed, high-acuity ICU provides specialized, around-the-clock care for adult patients (ages 18 and older) facing serious and complex health conditions. Common diagnoses include cardiac disease, myocardial infarction (MI), acute respiratory distress, renal failure, sepsis, stroke (CVA), congestive heart failure (CHF), gastrointestinal bleeding, acute withdrawal, and other critical illnesses requiring advanced intervention. The Williamsburg ICU is equipped with a state-of-the-art eICU patient monitoring system, harnessing cutting-edge technology and continuous electronic oversight to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. This innovative approach has achieved dramatic reductions in ICU mortality rates and ensures patients receive the highest standard of critical care. Job Summary Provides safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process. Applies professional standards in ethics, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice. Uses clinical knowledge and skills to meet the needs of their specific unit. Education Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing BLS within 90 days of hire Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty:ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHH
