Location:

Middlebury, VT (hospital setting) Responsibilities Provide direct patient care across Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and newborn care, including monitoring maternal and fetal status and supporting labor and delivery. Administer medications and analgesia as prescribed; assess responses and manage postpartum and newborn needs. Perform newborn assessments, assist with immediate stabilization, and support breastfeeding and family education. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the care team; respond to obstetric emergencies with appropriate protocol and teamwork. Document care in the electronic health record (Epic) accurately and in a timely manner; communicate changes in patient condition to the team. Adhere to infection control practices, maintain patient safety, and prepare patients and families for discharge per unit standards. Schedule considerations include coverage for every other weekend and two of the four major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day) as needs arise. Requirements Vermont RN license required at time of submission BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 1 year of LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn) experience Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
