A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

Rate of Pay:
$50/hr.
Weekend:
20 hours a week minimum and will include working 1 weekend a month No Medical, Dental, Vision, or paid Sick/Vacation time will be offered with this position
Holiday:
1 holiday a year; employee will receive holiday pay in the amount of time and a half Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions and injections. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and phlebotomy as needed. Manage acute pain effectively through appropriate interventions. Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning from hospital to home or other care settings. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Candidates should have a diverse range of experience in nursing, including but not limited to: Long-term care experience required Familiarity with Point Click Care Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in hospice & palliative medicine Proficiency in performing physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and specimen collection/processing We value candidates who are committed to continuous learning and professional development within the nursing field.
