What You Will Do :
Lead and support a patient access team at two Bessemer, AL client locations Oversee day-to-day workflow, prioritize work assignments, and help ensure service delivery expectations are met. Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing support to team members to promote performance, engagement, and accountability. Monitor team activities, identify issues or bottlenecks, and help drive timely resolution. Partner with supervisors and other stakeholders to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with process improvement efforts and contribute to efficient, high-quality service delivery.
What You Will Need :
High School Diploma or GED or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of the education 8 years relevant customer-facing experience (preferably in healthcare) 5+ years of working experience in all areas of Patient Access (Scheduling and Pre-Registration, Insurance Verification, Prior Authorization, Financial Counseling & Estimating, and Point-of-Service Collections) Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and support multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues effectively and professionally. Ability to work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Experience leading, coordinating, or supporting a team in a professional services or operations environment. Experience with process improvement. Previous leadership experience in a managed services or healthcare-related environment. Familiarity with operational reporting, performance tracking, or workflow coordination.
