We're looking for an Admissions Coordinator Assistant who can combine healthcare knowledge, excellent customer service, and strong follow-through to help guide prospective residents and their families from the initial referral through admission. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the long-term care environment, enjoys building relationships, and knows how important it is to stay on top of every referral, every detail, and every follow-up. What You'll Do As the Admissions Coordinator Assistant, you'll help manage the admissions process while creating a positive experience for residents, families, hospitals, physicians, case managers, and other referral partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
Review incoming referrals and help determine whether the facility can appropriately meet the resident's needs Coordinate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, families, and other referral sources Follow referrals from initial inquiry through the admission process Conduct on-site and off-site assessments as needed Help families understand the admissions process, answer questions, and provide facility tours Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective residents, families, and referral partners Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, and community partners Participate in community outreach, marketing activities, events, and facility promotions Coordinate admission details to help ensure a smooth transition for new residents Maintain accurate documentation and organized referral records Work closely with nursing, administration, and other departments throughout the admissions process Ensure admissions activities comply with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations What We're Looking For We need someone who is organized, personable, persistent, and comfortable following through .
The right candidate will have:
Experience in admissions, healthcare marketing, care coordination, long-term care, or a related healthcare role A strong understanding of the healthcare referral and admissions process Clinical knowledge and the ability to review and understand resident care needs Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong relationship-building skills The confidence to follow up with referral sources and prospective residents without letting opportunities fall through the cracks Excellent organization and attention to detail The ability to prioritize multiple referrals, deadlines, and responsibilities The ability to work independently while also collaborating with the facility team A professional, compassionate approach when working with residents and families Knowledge of long-term care regulations is a plus Previous sales, marketing, or business-development experience is a plus Current Arkansas LPN or RN license preferred Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required for assessments, outreach, and community visits Why This Role Matters Choosing long-term or short-term care can be overwhelming for residents and their families.
