Schedule:
Full-Time Days (40 hrs/week) What You'll Do Scheduling Personnel support Freeman Health System patients and care teams by coordinating appointments, verifying and updating patient information, and ensuring accurate scheduling in accordance with departmental guidelines. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and internal departments, providing timely, courteous service while protecting patient privacy and supporting efficient clinic/hospital operations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent or minimum of 1 year of related work experience. Minimum of 1 year of customer service, call center, medical office, or healthcare-related administrative experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Ability to communicate clearly and professionally by phone, in writing, and in person. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Basic computer proficiency, including ability to learn scheduling/registration software and use standard office applications. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous healthcare scheduling experience in a clinic, hospital, or multi-specialty environment. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and/or scheduling platforms. Knowledge of medical terminology and common diagnostic/procedural visit types. Experience with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorization workflows. Bilingual skills (as applicable to patient population).
