Job Description

Overview The Intake Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient process for incoming patients and clients within a residential setting. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for gathering necessary information, managing patient records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing exceptional customer service. Duties Greet patients and clients upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming environment. Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details. Maintain accurate and organized patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits as needed. Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure all necessary documentation is complete prior to appointments. Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for data management. Provide support in medical billing processes as required. Address patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner. Skills Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Experience in medical office management or administrative roles within healthcare settings. Proficiency in clerical tasks including typing and data entry. Familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals. Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in an office environment is preferred. Knowledge of medical billing processes is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining the operational flow of the healthcare facility while ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care from their first point of contact.

$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
