In this role, you will assist patients through the registration process in the Hospital Surgery Department with minimal direct supervision. You will be responsible for collecting patient demographics, obtaining necessary signatures, and processing payments while providing a high level of customer service.

Essential Responsibilities Patient Registration & Demographics:
Collect and enter patient demographics accurately. Request identification to properly register patients for services.Documentation & Compliance:
Obtain necessary signatures on required consents and regulatory forms.Financial Processing:
Identify, interpret, and collect patient financial liability at the point of service. Practice proper cash handling and reconciliation processes in accordance with established policies. Provide documentation of transactions to patients.Account Management:
Use available resources to determine patient account status. Select or create the appropriate account type for benefits, eligibility, patient liability, third-party insurance, coordination of benefits, workers' compensation, etc.Customer Service:
Serve as an ambassador for the organization by exhibiting respectful, professional, and friendly behavior. Build rapport, anticipate needs, and resolve problems quickly.Information Sharing:
Provide clear information to patients regarding health plan portfolios, specific benefits, clinic locations, and services offered.Emergency Response:
Recognize and follow appropriate procedures for medical and non-medical emergencies.Required Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience:
1 to 3 years of related experience working in hospital registration. Work experience involving public contact, clerical tasks, and reception.Financial Experience:
Proven experience involving cash handling, cash balancing, or reconciliation.Technical Skills:
At least 1 year of experience using multiple business software applications simultaneously. Basic math proficiency, typing speed of 25 WPM, and 10-key proficiency.Industry Knowledge:
Solid understanding of third-party insurance verification processes and basic hospital registration requirements.Soft Skills:
customer service orientation, excellent verbal communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a high-volume environment.salary:
