The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional administrative support while maintaining high standards of patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical insurances, referrals, authorizations and patient scheduling. Responsibilities Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform medical billing tasks making sure that insurance verification information is accurate and up to date and sent to the billing office. Conduct insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage options. Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and filing of patient information. Provide clerical support including , managing office supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in the office environment. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality service delivery. Utilize computer skills to manage health information management tasks effectively. Skills Experience with Veradygm/Allscripts EMR systems Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements. Bilingual abilities in spanish or chinese are a plus for enhanced patient communication. Previous clinic experience preferred Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction. Strong typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Experience in medical administrative support or as a medical receptionist is highly desirable.
