Post-Surgery Patient Care & Transportation Assistant My Lending Hands Post- operative care Ontario, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $65 - $85 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Adhering to traffic regulations Driver's License Patient interaction CNA Time management Mobile devices Full Job Description Job Summary At My Lending Hands, we provide professional, non-emergency post-surgery transportation and personalized recovery assistance for patients throughout Southern California. We are looking for compassionate, dependable, and professional Patient Transportation & Recovery Assistants to join our growing team. In this role, you will safely transport patients to and from surgical facilities, assist them with discharge, help them get settled at home or in a hotel, and provide light, non-medical recovery support. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexible scheduling. Assignments vary based on client needs and your availability. Duties Safely transport patients to and from surgery centers, medical appointments, hotels, or residences. Assist patients with entering and exiting vehicles safely. Escort patients through the discharge process. Help patients get comfortably settled at home or in their recovery location. Provide light, non-medical mobility assistance as needed. Assist with personal belongings and medical supplies. Maintain professional communication with patients and the My Lending Hands care coordinator. Follow client care instructions and company protocols. Maintain a clean, reliable, and insured vehicle. Document arrival, pickup, and drop-off times when required. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient privacy and professionalism. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills. Compassionate, patient, and dependable. Strong time management and punctuality. Ability to remain calm in a healthcare environment. Comfortable assisting individuals with limited mobility. Professional appearance and demeanor. Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance. Valid California driver's license and clean driving record. Smartphone with GPS and the ability to communicate by text, phone, and email. Ability to lift and assist with light personal belongings (up to 25 lbs.). CNA, Medical Assistant, Caregiver, EMT, healthcare, hospitality, or patient transport experience is a plus but not required. Requirements Must be at least 21 years old. Pass a background check. Maintain a clean driving record. Current vehicle registration and proof of insurance. Ability to work independently as a 1099 Independent Contractor . Weekend and early morning availability is a plus. Must be professional, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
