Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a positive patient experience, and maintaining efficient office procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills and familiarity with medical software. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of health information. Utilize medical software such as Epic for scheduling, billing, and record-keeping tasks. Assist in the development and management of care plans by coordinating with healthcare providers. Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Support medical coding processes by ensuring proper documentation is available for billing purposes. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Familiarity with medical software such as Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of health information management practices and medical coding principles is a plus. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration or related field is an advantage.
