This position will remain open until 05/26/2026.Are you well versed in medical terminology, CPT codes, patient registration, and insurance company requirements for prior authorizations? Do you have strong attention-to-detail and communication skills? If you are adaptable, team-oriented and are able to work independently, we would love for you to apply for our Medical Authorizations Clerk position!
At least two years experience in an office setting.
Previous insurance, registration and authorization experience preferred.

What You'll Need:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.At least two years experience in an office setting.
Previous insurance, registration and authorization experience preferred.
What You'll Do:
Gather required medical information and time-frame for referrals, tests and/or procedures. Verify patient insurance and plan coverage pertinent to authorization information. Work closely with the Utilization Department to ensure that the insurance is receiving all necessary clinical information for ER/Inpatient/Observation stays and continuously follow-up on those authorizations so that all admission days are approved .Track authorizations/referrals through completion:
requested, appointment scheduled, patient postponed or declined referral/test/procedure, and closing the loop in the medical record. Ensure accuracy of authorizations with regard to study and appropriate CPT Coding is documented in the record to ensure accurate scheduling.
