Job Description

Allergy, Asthma & Immunology of the Rockies is a physician-owned allergy and immunology practice with offices in Glenwood Springs and Willits. Our front office is the first thing patients experience and the last thing they remember. We're looking for someone organized and genuinely friendly to own that experience. Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, verify demographics and insurance, and collect copays and balances
  • Own the digital check-in experience on CheckinAsyst — assist patients on the iPads, resolve issues, and reconcile intake data into the EHR
  • Answer and route a busy phone queue; take messages accurately and get them to the right clinical staff
  • Schedule new and follow-up appointments, testing visits, and injection clinic times across two offices
  • Manage intake forms, consents, and portal enrollment; help patients get set up on FollowMyHealth
  • Verify eligibility and benefits, obtain prior authorizations and referrals, and flag coverage issues before the visit
  • Scan and index records, process incoming faxes, and keep patient charts complete
  • Support the billing team with charge entry questions, patient statements, and payment posting as needed
  • Cross-train with clinical staff to cover across roles
  • Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA practices in every interaction The Ideal Candidate
  • High school diploma or equivalent; one year of medical front office or comparable customer-facing experience preferred
  • Confident with EHR and practice management software; Allscripts/Veradigm or CheckinAsyst experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of insurance basics — copays, deductibles, referrals, prior authorization
  • Calm and collected under a full waiting room and a ringing phone
  • Takes ownership of assigned systems and workflows — flags what isn't working rather than working around it
  • Clear written and verbal communication; accurate data entry
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Why AAIR?
  • Small, stable team where your work is visible and appreciated
  • Weekday schedule — no nights, weekends, or holidays
  • Long-term patient relationships To apply : Apply through Indeed, or email Dr.
