Job Description
Patient Care Associate
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- MedSurg Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $19.29
- $26.90 an hour
- Fulltime , 36 hours per week
- Days +$2.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CNA certification or equivalent certification is preferred.
Equivalent certifications include:
EMT, MA, Military Medic or completion of 1st year of nursing core classes (not prerequisites for nursing school).- BLS certification required within conditional period. Responsibilities
- Takes vital signs accurately and timely and reports to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
- Answers patient call lights and performs appropriate follow-up in a timely manner.
- Performs morning and evening ADLs (oral care, bathing, etc.).
- Assists staff with repositioning and patient mobility.
- Independently mobilizes patients.
- Empties foley catheters, urinals, bedpans, commodes, urine hats and drains
- Assists in preparation of patient rooms and admission and transfers.
- Follows patient fluid restrictions and calorie count orders as delegated by nurse.
