Are you organized, compassionate, and great with people? Join our Emergency Department team as a Patient Access Specialist and play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting physicians, nurses, patients, and families. What You'll Do Welcome and register emergency department patients. Verify demographics, insurance, and required paperwork. Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and specialty consultations. Maintain accurate patient records and upload documents to the EHR. Answer phones and provide clear communication to patients, families, and healthcare staff. Track admissions, transfers, calls, and pediatric patients. Support patient safety, security, specimen transport, and daily department operations. Maintain office supplies and accurate transfer/admission documentation. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and organization Computer proficiency required Medical terminology experience preferred Insurance verification/registration experience preferred
