Job Description / Position Summary This is a very unique opportunity to work on a great team doing meaningful work in a beautiful space. There is a lot of excitement behind our mission and vision. We are looking for someone eager and excited to learn and grow, as we will be providing education in integrative dentistry as well as on-the-job training in all things business, customer service, collection billing and claims, and all things clinical dentistry, holistic health and more. The primary role of the Front Office Patient/Scheduling Coordinator is to schedule the patient for treatment and to ensure that the patient schedule operates at its most productive; meeting office goals and expectations as well as creating the best patient experience. Key duties associated with scheduling a productive day include: knowing and understanding the owner/doctor's expectations for running an efficient and effective schedule, utilizing the best financial options for the patient, educating patients on treatment choices, overcoming financial objections and scheduling to office goals. This person also has a passion for what we offer to patients, loves a good challenge, takes pride in their work, is collaborative and FUN to work with! We need someone flexible with direction and also able to implement, learn quickly and work independently when needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Check patients in/out in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinate fees and insurance benefits for patients. Know and use financial options to give patients choices. Be able to overcome financial objections and offer options. Maintain accurate financial paperwork. Properly use account software (Dentrix). Obtain Pre-Authorizations from and file claims to insurance companies in a timely manner. Meet criteria for office cleanliness and maintenance. Participate in required office meetings and CE. Be educated regarding the services we offer and be able to answer patient inquiries. Play your role in the office mission/best patient experience. Know how to schedule appointments and to schedule to goal. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide feedback regarding patient care so proper follow up can be done. Follow office protocol for patient care and follow up and possess the ability to effectively handle patient inquiries/complaints and guide office escalation process Answer phones to company standards and answer patient questions effectively. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor's degree desired but not required 3-5 years of experience in dental, preferably front office experience Motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized. Ability to creatively solve problems and overcome obstacles Fun professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of office practices, technology and insurance Understanding of general dental operations and patient flow issues Knowledge of basic computer software applications ie. Mac and Google, telephones, copiers Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance plans Ability to draw valid conclusions and apply sound judgment Ability to interact with patients, team members and insurance representatives Ability to apply basic math skills to patient financials

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
