Full Job Description Salary Range :

$21.00 to $23.00 an hour By adhering to Connecticut State Law, pay ranges are posted. The pay rate will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge of position and comparison to others who are already in this role within the company. PACT MSO

has a busy Surgical Group with multiple locations seeking a Front Office Associate to work in Hamden and Ansonia. The position would be floating between the two office locations. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm with some overtime expected. The position works in the front and/or back office of the medical practice. The job responsibilities are administrative and may include some or all listed below. The incumbent may be in one location where they are responsible for all aspects of the patient experience, or just one aspect. Essential Functions Greet incoming patients, visitors, vendors, etc. to the office with a friendly, professional demeanor. Completely and accurately registers and checks in patients by following a standard operating procedure. Schedule and confirm patients' appointments Check out patients completing all necessary steps in check out standard operating procedure Collects proper co-pay, payments on balances, walk-in payments and process appropriately. Open and close batch daily for deposit Accurately scan and index documents and reports into patients' charts in the EHR system. Reviews all provider orders for completeness and obtains clarification on incomplete or questionable orders Test/procedure preparations Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls. Routes the calls to the appropriate person or offers to take a message. Appropriately documents message in the patient chart or other electronic manner as specified by type of call. Collect pertinent information and required documents from patient prior to appointments. Explains financial requirement to the patients and collect copays as required. Responsible for managing the transfer of the phone system to and from the answering service, as well as resolving non urgent after hours messages. Perform other assignments and special projects Skills and Knowledge Knowledge of computers and EHR software. Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills Education and Experience 1 year of office experience High School or GED required.
