Work Locations:
Bradenton, FL As part of this role, you will: Quality Assurance & Auditing Conduct routine audits of patient registrations, insurance verifications, scheduling accuracy, financial counseling activities, telephone encounters, and front-office workflows. Evaluate compliance with organizational policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and quality expectations. Monitor performance metrics and identify trends, patterns, and areas requiring corrective action. Develop and maintain quality monitoring tools, audit forms, scorecards, and tracking systems. Perform root cause analysis related to workflow inconsistencies, recurring errors, and operational deficiencies. Provide audit findings, recommendations, and action plans to leadership. Track corrective actions and monitor improvements following coaching and training interventions. Assist with preparation for internal audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance assessments.
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES
Associate's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Quality Management, or related field preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Maximum three (3) years of Patient Services, healthcare operations, insurance verification, patient access, or related healthcare experience. Minimum one (1) year of training, quality auditing, supervisory support, or process improvement experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare registration, scheduling, eligibility verification, and patient financial processes. The Quality Assurance Specialist supports operational excellence across Patient Services by monitoring performance, auditing workflows, identifying trends, standardizing processes, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and patient experience standards. This position serves as a subject matter expert and resource for Patient Service Representatives (PSR) and leadership, providing coaching, training, quality monitoring, and process improvement recommendations. The Quality Assurance Specialist collaborates with the Patient Services Lead and Senior Manager to identify opportunities for operational improvement, validate reporting accuracy, implement standardized workflows, and support staff development initiatives. This role functions as a PSR II during staffing shortages, vacancies, extended absences, and other coverage gaps to maintain uninterrupted patient access operations.
