Job Description

Novus Spine and Pain Center is seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Medical Office Receptionist to join our team full-time. This role is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient office flow. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally Greet patients and visitors with a welcoming and courteous attitude Check patients in and out for appointments Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Collect patient payments (copays, deductibles, balances) Confirm upcoming appointments and manage scheduling needs Scan and accurately attach patient documents into the EMR system Manage and respond to the main office email inbox Receive, manage, and distribute incoming faxes Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure timely patient flow Maintain organized patient records and front office systems Requirements Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional demeanor and appearance Non-smoker Qualifications High school diploma or higher 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting Experience with insurance verification, eligibility, and benefits Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, ModMed EMA, or similar) Experience collecting patient payments (copays, deductibles, balances) Knowledge of medical terminology Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred Ability to travel to other office locations as needed
