Patient Coordinator The Retina Group of Florida is a multi-physician, multi-office and growing ophthalmology practice specializing in diseases of the retina. We are currently seeking a full-time, bilingual spanish-speaking, patient coordinator to join our team in our Broward County offices! The Retina Group of Florida prides itself on first class patient care, rewarding work environment and creating pathways for employee growth. The Patient Coordinator is a full-time position with excellent benefits. The Patient Coordinator is a vital part of the office team as the first point of contact with the patients. The Patient Coordinator is for answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments and collecting copays in a professional and friendly manner.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones timely Schedule patient appointments Collects co-payments and outstanding balances Filing, faxing and other miscellaneous front desk tasks Knowledge of multiple insurances, referral and authorization process Troubleshoot insurance claims issues Develop competency with EMR and practice management system Required skills and qualifications Excellent communication skills Flexibility with hours and local area travel Computer proficiency for an office nearly 100% electronic (Scanning, uploading, downloading, document transfer) Ability to work in multiple software programs/applications Exhibit patience and compassion Ability to prioritize tasks properly Must be able to travel to local offices Must be bilingual
