Job Description

Position Summary:
The Registrar will be responsible for providing overall direction and leadership to plan, organize, and manage all activities related to student records for the Florida Vocational Institute. Activities and operations include organizing and administering all records all records and registration functions including the collection of grades, registration data, degree and other auditing for new and returning students. The Registrar reports to the Campus President.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create the overall registration and graduation policies for the institute. Manage all aspects of the registration process for new and returning students including registration workflow/process design, verification of prerequisites, and ensuring all forms are accurately completed. Establish and maintain all student files ensuring that all personal, financial, and academic records are kept current and accurate. Monitor all student records to ensure compliance with academic regulations
Requirements Minimum Job Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. A minimum of three years of registrar's experience in post-secondary education or related management experience in staffing or recruiting firm. Must be able to speak, write and communicate in English. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office and Diamond SIS systems. Must have past records of integrity that would support compliance with accrediting standards and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Must be highly organized.

Ability to interpret and manipulate key statistics related to Career Services. Ability to address concerns or problems with students, faculty and employers Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to develop, motivate and mentor staff.
