The Patient Services Representative at Crescent Community Health Center is responsible for providing exceptional service to patients by managing their appointments, answering inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of operations within the healthcare facility. This role is crucial in maintaining patient satisfaction and supporting the healthcare team's efforts in delivering quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment. Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently, coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize clinic operations. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly, providing accurate information and assistance. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations and policies. Assist patients with the registration process, verifying insurance information, and updating personal details as necessary. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Handle billing and payment processing, explaining charges and assisting patients with financial inquiries. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient services. Ensure compliance with Crescent Community Health Center's standards and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Preferred Education An associate degree or certification in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.Required Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient services or customer service roles.Preferred Experience:
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable. Previous experience in a community health center or similar environment is advantageous.Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate patient information management and scheduling. Proficiency in computer applications and ability to learn new software systems quickly. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
