Patient Service:
BASIC FUNCTION
: Handle telephone calls and mail. Schedule appointments. Prepare patient records. Maintain reception area. Maintain supplies and stationery. Prepare daily financial reports and deposits.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
: Responsible for maintaining efficient patient flow to pre-testing. Responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to management.PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
: Review clinic charts daily, including registration of new patients or changes with established patients, sending electronic claims, paper claims, including secondary claims and re-bills, post payments, correct rejected claims, re-bill, or call, charge surgeries and lasers, split care billing, statements, Answering telephones, scheduling appointments, greeting and receiving patients, preparing patient files, daily deposits, handling patient charges and payments, confirming patient appointments, making recall appointments, monthly billing with out-standing patient accounts, postage supply, insurance and Medicare status for outstanding accounts, order office supplies, order stationery supplies. Manage accounts payable, make deposits, record requests from disability, other physicians, Medicare, make claim appeals, phone calls to insurance and or Medicare, call past due patients, EOM, Aging.Optician:
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
: Responsible for internal merchandising of frames, spectacle lenses and eyewear accessories, as well as all product support functions. Dispensing of eyewear, sales and follow-up service to patients.BASIC FUNCTIONS
Create displays, assist patients with frame selection, measuring and specifying frame orders, placing frame orders, checking RX and quality when eyewear orders are received, calling patients to schedule eyewear pickup, explaining patient adaptation to new lenses and care of lenses, two week follow-up with patient, maintaining clean and neat frame style area, return of broken warranty frames to supplier, tracking of delayed patient RX's, eyewear adjustments and repairs. interpreting optical prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists; giving advice to patients on lens type, frames and styling; taking frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning; advising partially sighted patients on the use of low vision aids; advising patients when adjustments or repairs to spectacles are needed; selecting, managing and ordering a range of optical approved products; ordering lenses from approved labs; checking lenses on delivery to ensure that they meet the required specifications; arranging and maintaining dispensing area displays; Assisting with general office duties included but not limited to answering the phone, scheduling appointments, greeting patients etc.Job Type:
