Job Description

Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, is responsible for conversion of inquiries for service requests to in-home visits as well as proving excellent customer service to all callers. Routinely interacts with other personnel as well as clients, family members, community providers/ referral sources, insurance companies, care managers, and other third party payors.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED Legally eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to pass a background and fingerprint check Two years of experience in customer service related field Phone Skills, Phone transfer and/or switchboard Excellent oral and written communication Ability to listen and understand the needs of others Empathy and people skills Proficient computer
Skills Essential Functions:
Takes accurate referral/service request information by phone. Determines type and duration of services necessary to meet client needs. Quotes bill rate based on service provided and explains billing process. Performs insurance verification utilizing information collected on service request and obtains billing/coverage information for private insurance cases. Communicates new assignments to care coordinator and scheduler. Contacts clients to set up appointments for service delivery. Maintains statistics of weekly/monthly referrals and their sources. Assists with administrative tasks, including inventory ordering, printing and faxing paperwork. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
