Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Office Assistant/CNA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support within diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient services in a busy Family Practice Office. The candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting healthcare providers and patients alike. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and verifying insurance information. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, document proper insurance, and collect copays. Measure and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, wound care, and basic life support in accordance with protocols. Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR systems), ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Prepare examination rooms and assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-ray or laboratory tests when necessary. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling documentation related to ICD coding and medical billing. Requirements Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or MOA. Prior experience working in Family Medicine preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical coding practices including ICD coding for diagnoses. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds and multidisciplinary teams. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
