Overview Join our dynamic outpatient healthcare team as a Medical Assistant specializing in outpatient care! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient service, assist healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality, efficient outpatient services across diverse medical specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and more. Duties Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, medication administration, and X-ray preparation. Manage medical documentation accurately, including progress notes, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating patient records in EMR/EHR systems. Support clinical workflows by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and handling specimen collection for laboratory testing. Conduct patient intake assessments by gathering medical histories and current complaints to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Coordinate with hospital medicine teams or urgent care units when necessary to ensure seamless patient transitions or follow-up care. Qualifications Proven experience in outpatient medical assisting within clinics specializing in dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine or hospital outpatient settings. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced outpatient clinics while maintaining attention to detail in medical documentation and records management. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
