Full Time Job Description Overview Hours:
Monday and Wednesday-Friday 7am-4pm and Tuesday between the hours of 7am-6pm. No weekends or holidays. Hours could potentially decrease during the summer upon request.

Ball State Health Center, 1500 W Neely, Muncie, IN 47306 Job Summary Facilitates patient flow from point of entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Obtains specific information to generate an accurate financial and demographic record for patients that will ensure maximum reimbursement and clinical outcomes. Schedules appointments, interviews patients for appropriate medical information, explains charges and policies of the department/hospital, validates and enters charges into appropriate systems, and collects necessary payment. Answers incoming calls and directs patients and visitors appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check patients in for appointments. Facilitate the patient check-out process Verify that Bursar account payments have been received and properly applied to Health Center services. Collect and process payments for office visits and other applicable services. Provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients, families, and clinical staff. Medical Office experience is preferred but not required. Requirements High School Diploma/GED is required. Prefer relevant experience in a health care setting. Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding preferred. Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
