MEDICAL OFFICE SPECIALIST
Tasks Include Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff Triage faxes Takes messages and schedule appointments Maintain medical records, corresponding files, referrals Greet patients and ascertain purpose of visit and direct them to appropriate staff. Required Skills Speaking and Phone skills- giving full attention to what patients are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking appropriate questions, taking an informative message for the nursing staff and physician. Active listening
