Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Front Office Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient administrative support. You will utilize your medical office experience and technical skills to facilitate patient intake, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling . Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to a positive patient experience and the overall success of our clinic. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks Schedule patient appointments accurately Collect and review patient documentation, including medical history forms and consent documents Manage patient records with meticulous attention to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Assist with billing processes by performing medical collection activities and processing payments Communicate patient financial responsibility clearly and collect payments in accordance with established financial policies, as needed. Maintain accurate documentation review for CPT codes, ICD-9/10 coding, and other medical billing procedures Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing) Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient intake and flow within the clinic environment Chart preparation includes obtaining required surgical H&P, current medication list, other medical clearances as needed Prior clinic or medical office experience is required, ideally in a healthcare setting Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines is essential Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management systems Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence in a fast-paced environment Clerical experience involving multi-line phone systems, filing, and administrative support in a healthcare settingJoin us in delivering outstanding care by providing top-tier front desk support that keeps our clinic running smoothly.
